For our March Community Day, JQOP had the great pleasure of hosting the folk trio Tatu Mianzi! The group is comprised of Susan, Allie and Kate Reed, who perform on banjo/violin, violin, and cello, respectively. Susan led everyone through several folk dances, and finished the morning with some musical storytelling.
It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to encounter a unique and dynamic group of professional musicians, and to engage with each other through a musical tradition very different from what they experience daily in orchestra.
